With the start of Hamilton Island Race Week just days away, the Nautilus Marine Insurance team is excited to join sailors from across Australia at one of the nation’s premier regattas.

This marks our third year partnering with Hamilton Island Race Week, says Turner.

Rob Aldis, Commodore of Middle Harbour Yacht Club in Sydney, will be competing at Hamilton Island Race Week for the eighth time. “It’s a regatta that caters to everyone,” he notes.

It’s well-organized, with excellent racing conditions, great weather, and even some whale watching!

Aldis will be racing aboard Daguet 2, a Mylius 50 performance cruiser co-owned with Peter Byford from Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club. “Peter is currently enjoying a leisurely cruise to the island, and I’m bringing her back with a crew of three. We’re looking forward to some island hopping on the return trip, turning the deliveries into a perfect holiday for all.”

The 39th edition of Hamilton Island Race Week will be held from 17-24 August 2024, featuring over 170 boats and approximately 2000 sailors and spectators. The Nautilus Marine Insurance team will be on hand throughout the event to support competitors. Highlights will include the Nautilus Marine Insurance Classic Long Race and the Nautilus Marine Insurance Classic Medium Distance Race on Tuesday, 20 August.
