The Hamilton Island Yacht Club was officially opened on 21st August 2009 by The Honourable Anna Bligh MP – Premier of Queensland, launching 2009 Audi Hamilton Island Race Week.

The Hamilton Island Yacht Club, designed by the celebrated Australian architect Walter Barda, is set to become an icon across the domestic and international landscape, reflecting a distinctive and authentic Australian style. Importantly, it is set to further define Hamilton Island as an Australian and international boating mecca.

Hamilton Island has a long and rich sailing history and is the home of AUDI Hamilton Island Race Week – Australia’s largest offshore sailing regatta. In the heart of the Whitsunday Islands, on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, there is no better base for exploring one of the world’s great sailing regions.

Hamilton Island’s signature Bommie restaurant opened in November 2009 and features modern Australian cuisine. The Hamilton Island Yacht Club also features bars and function rooms for the use of members and guests.

The Hamilton Island Yacht Club features state of the art conference and function facilities overlooking the turquoise blue waters of Dent Passage and an inspiring central atrium space for events.

The Ketch & Cutter rooms feature high ceilings, natural light and a stunning backdrop across Dent Passage to Hamilton Island Golf Club. These rooms are ideal for premium conferences, product launches, tradeshows and gala dinners. 

The Yacht Club Auditorium features fixed, ascending theatre style seating, perfect for meetings and presentations of up to 66 guests.
