While many other Motor Yacht Shipyards are still finding the market slow it is full speed ahead for all 5 of Horizon’s Shipyards. A recent visit from the local Australian dealer highlighted the market strength the Horizon brand has World wide. ‘Their Shipyards are flat out!’ quoted Horizon Boats International. Certainly helping the Horizon Motor Yacht Group has been their eagerness to support and help their dealers negotiate deals.
Since the dreaded GFC, Horizon has not needed to retrench any workers at all, still running the full crew of around 1200 employees. Instead Horizon have been diligent to keep the sales and orders flowing, so as not to loose trained employees.
The local agents, Horizon Boats International, based at Sanctuary Cove have certainly carried their wait recently, having just handed over a 97’ Horizon last month to an existing Horizon 73 owner, taken a order for another Horizon 97 to be delivered to the Caribbean in June. Taken orders for two of the latest new Horizon 80’ Aqua Cats, the first going direct to the Mediterranean in July this year and delivered a Horizon 65 in December.
We have the pressure on the Factory now to finish off some new models for our Sanctuary Cove Boat Show. This week we just received the new model Horizon 88 Skylounge Motor Yacht. This Yacht is not only a brand new model but is the first to receive a totally new look interior. The ultra modern European décor is stunning and is without a doubt ‘World Class’ in every way says local Horizon partners John Rapmund and Russell Wright.
Other new models in production to compliment the show display is the updated Horizon 73 Skylounge, a new model Bandido 66 [a member of Horizon’s new Expedition range] and an Horizon 52 Sports Game Fisher complete with tuna tower.
With over 37 different base models and literally thousands of combinations, Horizon certainly have the model range, expertise and the World Wide dealer network to keep the sales flowing and enforcing them as one of the Worlds leading Motor Yacht manufacturers.
