Javelin Motor Yachts will launch its Javelin 42 Sportscat on the world market at Sanctuary Cove.

The sports catamaran offers a streamlined European-style. Designed by Scott Robson, the asymmetric planing hulls are the result of continual evolution and development of hull shapes by the designer.

This hull form has European-style topsides with flowing lines and large windows. A large electric sunroof adds to the feeling of openness as does the flowing interior with saloon and helm on one level.

There is a separate galley and dining area a few steps down. The accommodation configuration in each hull has a number of options. A degree of personalisation will be offered on each vessel with a range of internal wood veneers, upholstery, carpets and wall coverings.

There is the option of three bunks in one or both cabins or one of the heads can be replaced by a double cabin. The company intends to offer a flybridge and sports fishing version in the future. Foils will also be available to further increase the ride, handling and speed.

The space saved by the IPS compact size has been used to create a ‘service room’ in each hull, containing most of the pumps, filters, hot water systems and gen set all placed together. The display yacht is fitted with IPS 500s however IPS 600s can be specified.
