Eye catching style, a delight to sail and a pleasure to be on at anchor… Jeanneau Australia are thrilled to be displaying the stunning all new Sun Odyssey 379 for its World Premiere.
The SO379 will take pride of place at the Sydney International Boat Show in late July alongside the other newly released Jeanneau models for 2011, the SO439 and the current ‘European Yacht of the Year’, the SO409.
The Marc Lombard designed cruiser follows the design success of the 409 and 439 by being easy to handle, having excellent performance, and being a delight to relax on whilst at anchor.
Available in a two or three cabin version, the 379 also has extra flexibility by having a lifting keel option to make exploring those shallower inlets and secluded bays that much easier. Other keel options include a deep or shoal draft.
Another versatile feature is the optional self-tacking headsail. Customers can also select a larger overlapping headsail or the standard easy to tack or gybe 105% overlap genoa. Following the design features of the 409 and 439, the headsail and mainsail sheets are lead back to primary winches on both sides in easy reach of the helmsperson.
All lines are lead back to the cockpit under the coach roof for a clean and uncluttered look that also makes moving about on deck that much safer.
The spacious cockpit with voluminous lockers, twin wheels and large folding table is ideal for entertaining, whilst below is bathed in light from the opening ports and flush hatches. The high end contemporary interior on the Sun Odyssey 379 will appeal to the most discerning buyer.
The 2011 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey range has set a new benchmark in design and ease of sailing.
