JN Taylor and Company Ltd is showcasing a range of new products at the 2011 Sydney Boat Show.

In the Furuno line up, the company will launch in Australia the BBDS1 Bottom Discrimination Sounder.

The BBDS1 is the new network sounder featuring a bottom discrimination function as well as the digital filter technology that has won Furuno every ‘Best Fish Finder’ award at the annual NMEA Awards for its FCV-585 Fish Finder and DFF1 Sounder module since their release.

Furuno’s latest state of the art technology enables you to discriminate between different bottom features such as mud, sand, gravel, and rock, this is achieved by analysing different echo’s from each component made of varieties of size and hardness.

Connect the BBDS1 to the NavNet 3D MFD8, MFD12 or MFDBB network and get ready to experience this unique feature.

The Company is also show casing the latest Maxsea Timezero Professional Fishing software, Maxsea PLOT. Features include seamless zoom in and out of charts with zero redraw time, easier access to tools in a new icons toolbar, PBG function (Personal Bathymetric Generator) enabling you to produce your own bathymetric data of the seafloor in a 3D display, advanced compatibility with the FURUNO Network Fish finder, innovative recording of tracks and marks and free and reliable weather forecasts and Oceanographic data just to name a few.

Also being showcased is the latest technology in Engine and Vessel monitoring from Maretron, the DSM800 Vessel Monitoring and Control display. The DSM800 is a dedicated touch screen that comes preloaded with Maretron’s N2KView® vessel monitoring and control software. The N2KView® software allows you to configure as many favourite screens as you want with exactly the information you want to see. The DSM800 provides an extremely simple touch interface for observing and controlling critical systems from inside the vessel.
