DESCRIPTION
“In a meeting”, the 50-foot Bertram, was the pick of the bunch when owner the current owner upgraded from a trailer boat five years ago. The brief at the time was simple; a good solid, dry, ocean going vessel. Fast forward to now and the Bertram has been given a new lease of life by way of two new Volvo Penta D13-1000HP engines installed in 2020, Choosing re-power over repair came down to dollars and sense. Having owned large farms throughout his extensive career, The current owner has a fair idea about machinery and the expected life cycle of equipment, opting to re-power when the original V10 1050HP engines grew tired.
The performance of the vessel is amazing, for a boat of this size the power is impressive, and the fuel figures are great, the current owner added “It’s a completely different boat, improved top speed, better cruise speed and with less propeller pitch they can now comfortably troll at five knots without working the throttles”.
Bertram 510 has a 3 Cabin layout with generous galley, saloon, and dinette for entertaining or relaxing with the family, the cockpit has loads of room for multiple anglers to fight fish simultaneously or have a relaxing beer at the end of the day.
