The best value IRC competitive short-handed yacht available to Australia. Our demonstrator first registered in February 2023 and first sailed in May. Fully commissioned with race antifouling, a comprehensive set of running rigging, including for symetric & assy spinnakers, upgraded winches, halyard rope bags, 12v fridge, IRC manual toilet, IRC saloon table, and autopilot linear drive factory fitted.
With a typical IRC rating of 1.022 and phenomenal stability these yachts are a joy to race short-handed and highly competitive. A unique and innovative hull design from Verdier, the designer of the super-maxi “Comanche”, combined with the IRC knowledge of Daniel Andrieu the 3300 has proven to be easy to achieve a performance that is astounding for a yacht of its size.
With 12 Sun Fast 3300’s racing in Australia, and recent results showing how competitive these yachts are, both in club racing as well as offshore crewed and short-handed, these are the boats to beat. 2nd overall in the 2022 Sydney-Hobart 2-handed division and the first production yacht, CYCA SOPS div' II winner 2022/2023, RPAYC BWPS overall winner 2022/2023 (racing 2-handed) and much more.
The yacht is offered with a full suite of B&G instruments including H5000 Hercules base pack, AIS, twin Zeus 7" plotters, 3 x mast displays, autopilot with remote, Go Free WiFi, Iridium Go mount kit with transom mounted antenna and more. And a suit of sails that includes a Carbon 2-reef mainsail, Carbon #1 headail, reefable Carbon AP headsail, S2 spinnaker, Code 0, A4, storm jib and trysail.It has a current Cat' 5 safety cert, but has all of Cat' 2 gear, except Sat Phone. ity has both the optional long Carbon bow-sprit, and a Carbon spinnaker pole, has the pushpit customised to meet AS Cat 1/2, additional second set of spin sheets with tweakers, second tack line with matyn breaker, two additional double clutches, topping lift and staysail halyard, as well as staysail and pole downhaul strong-points.
