DESCRIPTION

DBY are proud to present an immaculate, and essentially one owner 1999 Bavaria 38 "MOOCOOBOOLA" exclusively for sale with DBY Boat Sales. I say essentially one owner because the boat was purchased new by a father and passed on to his son 17 years later. Both were very experienced yachtsman, but sadly now the son has decided that he too is ready to retire from the sport, and his family are not yet prepared to take on a yacht on a mooring.

Always exceptionally well maintained, she has just had the original Bavaria plywood and teak veneer over the cockpit seats and on the floor professionally replaced with gorgeous 9mm solid old growth teak, and her decks and deckhouse have just been professionally detailed.

Below she features 3 double cabins, and 2 heads and one shower. Her galley includes an LP Gas cooktop and oven (and a November 2023 gas compliance certificate) and eutectic refrigeration. Her Start and House batteries were replaced August 2023, and all lights are now LEDs.

Standing rigging was replaced in December 2020, and halyards, reef lines, vang, backstay, all car  tackles and outhaul have all been replaced over the last two months. She has a fully battened mainsail, and a new 135% furling headsail, as well as a spray dodger protecting the cockpit.She has a very well maintained 29hp Volvo Penta diesel with a saildrive and a 3 blade feathering propeller, as well as a Coursemaster autopilot. Last surveyed in 2020.

And to top it all off she has a boom awning and cockpit cushions for those Summer days and nights ahead.

Moocooboola is a beautiful example of the very popular Bavaria 38 and she is ready to sail away now for the Christmas break and the Summer ahead.
