LAYOUT
She has accommodation for four in two forward cabins and extra sleeping can be arranged in with the convertable dinette. The cabins have plenty of storage space including under the beds and along the hull sides.
The saloon is very comfortable and features a very clever dining table mount that allows the table to be moved around whilst still holding it nice and steady. Perfect for accommodating your changing needs whether you're entertaining guests or doing a spot of work at anchor.
On the port side, the well laid out galley provides a practical work area with cooking on one side and clean up on the other and includes plenty of storage space for longer stays aboard.
SAILING AND CRUISING
She is easily sailed single handed and would make for an affordable coastal cruiser for a couple or family. The rigging is either in good order or nearly new. The reluctant sellers of this lovely vessel have not only done plenty of updates to improve her amenties but have also conducted the maintenance needed to ensure reliability ease of operation - this equals safety aboard.
HISTORY
In January 1982, Tenacity (previously known as Double Dutch, Flight, Solo and Meerkat) started her journey in Victoria, her mould being cast at the Bowell Factory in Mordiallic (makers of the famous Nagari Car). She was then part-fitted out and sailed from Port Pirie, South Australia to Nudgee Queensland where her fit out was completed.
In May 1983, with a new owner, she was then shipped up to PNG where she continued her sailing career. In July 1986 she was shipped back to Brisbane and understood to be based in the Shute Harbour, Whitsundays. She made her way to Victoria in the 2000’s where she spent time in Hastings Marina where she was regularly used by a family of 4. When the family grew she was used as a single handed motor sailer down to Deal Island, just north of Tasmania.
Tenacity was then purchased by the current owners in February 2021 and after an extensive rigging refit, moved to St Kilda. Several upgrades have been made allowing them to restore her back to a sailing vessel. Tenacity and her current owners have just sailed over 1500nm from St Kilda to the Whitsundays and back to Brisbane in the last five and a half months. Tenacity now needs a new owner to give her some cosmetic TLC.
