DESCRIPTION
1977 Currawong 30 now for sale with DBY Boat Sales.
The Currawong 30 is one of the original Australian designed Half Tonners which was one of the most popular and successful local halves to have been built.
Built by Geoff Baker of Seaway Yachts Australia, and designed by Peter Joubert, a Melbourne professor of engineering, they are excellent, moderate displacement, 3266 kg yachts, having a full rated sail area of 49.2 m2.
They have full headroom, five berths, a separate head and ample galley with generous navigation space.
With their age allowance, they are still competitive in offshore and twilight racing.
It's hard to find a neater example of this classic yacht with the upgraded engine replacement to an exchange 2005 model DV20 20hp Bukh which has been serviced by Bukh since the install.
The sail wardrobe is extensive and even includes the option to use a simple self-tacker for two of the No 4 headsails.
With a recent engine service having just been done along with fresh antifoul at the end of 2019, she is in sound condition and ready to go.
Inspect before you miss out.
