DESCRIPTION
Designed by highly regarded naval architect Rob Humphries the Elan S4 is the perfect combination of racer and cruiser with a great open twin wheel cockpit, and a beautifully finished interior layout would put some cruising yachts to shame.
The hull design is truly modern with extended chine and twin rudders, so lends itself to short-handed racing as well as fully crewed and indeed this yacht won the 2019 Launceston to Hobart Race, the King of the Derwent, and local double-handed races. So, a very versatile design.
This yacht is the full package with an IRC rating of 1.025, superb H5000 instruments including triple mast display, and a comprehensive inventory of performance sails including both symmetric and assy spinnakers. Offshore and inshore mains are 2019, J2 is 2019 and symmetric spinnakers are this year.
Down below the fit-out is modern, stylish and extremely comfortable. This is an owner’s layout 2-cabin model with owners’ cabin aft to port and head to starboard. It sports a traditional L-shaped galley to port and forward facing nav station to starboard, while the saloon has full length bench seats both sides, and then the v-berth cabin forward.
There are lots of racing goodies such as 6 Harken Performance winches, tackle backstay, rod kicker, retractable Carbon bowsprit and Carbon symmetric pole and much more.
Modern true cruiser-racers of this calibre are extremely hard to find on the Australian market, so don’t miss out. Contact PBS for further details now!
