A fastidiously owned and superbly maintained 2002 model Hallberg-Rassy 53, 'SAORSA', for sale with DBY Boat Sales.

Designed by Germán Frers, the Hallberg-Rassy 53 combines modern styling and a performance hull but still retains that timeless elegance that is the hallmark of the range, while down below it provides the space and comfort of a luxury floating home. The interior is finished in glowing rich red mahogany, a Hallberg-Rassy trademark, one of which they are justly proud. Satin finished, smooth, rounded, warm to the touch and soothing to the eye, the interior of this boat is superb. The layout is designed to allow unimpeded access from bow to stern, in a smooth line with no obstructions. The saloon table has superbly radiused fiddles that fades away in the corners.
The engine room is a full-height, walk-in compartment, with ample room to work around. The Volvo six-cylinder engine that has just been removed and had an extensive overhaul, presents as new again with only 140 hours since the rebuild. Also in the engine room is the 6kva generator, and easy access to all systems. Perforated aluminium linings cover the sound insulation, adding to the high quality feel of the installation.
With her electric furling winches and hydraulic furling main and genoa, she can be easily sailed single handed. She sails comfortably between 7-9kts. Her fully rebuilt 145hp main engine with only 125 hours combined with a gori propeller ensures she slips thorough the water at 7kts at 1300 rpm sipping only (approx.) 5 litres per hour - giving her over 1000 NM range under power.
A huge refit over the last 2 years ensures this yacht ready to go world cruising.
The cavernous saloon offers a spacious living area with the famous Hallberg-Rassy comfortable armchairs and a L shaped sofa, along with a very “sea safe” galley and large navigation area. There are three dedicated sleeping cabins: a large rear master cabin with King sized, almost walk around bed and its own ensuite bathroom, a bunk room and double v berth with a separate bathroom.
The walk-in engine room provides a fabulous area to gain access to the engines and is an excellent drying area! Original manuals and documentation are on board. Spare parts galore.
Overall, the Hallberg-Rassy 53 is a genuine go-anywhere boat which can be lived on for extended periods of time permanently. With these purposes in mind, she is a difficult boat to beat.
Lying Mooloolaba on a marina berth, she is easily inspected.
