DESCRIPTION

1992 Hunter Legend 40.5 was one of the most successful long run Hunter designs now for sale at DBY Boat Sales. This shallow draft wing keeled version draws just 1.5 metres.

She has just completed a Pacific crossing from San Francisco, transiting Mexico, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji then New Caledonia to Australia.

In interviewing the owner’s you learn that she is the perfect blend of comfort, performance and security. They confessed to me that prior to setting sail on this epic adventure they had just 2 weeks sailing experience!!!

With her simple rig and powerful Raymarine pilot, it made the trip easy. Including in hard conditions of 40 knots plus and seas over 5 metres. All lines lead to the cockpit so she can be single handed.

With the shallow keel she has the advantage of being suitable for those shallow berths or exploring the many shoaling bars and rivers up and down our coastline.

Headroom is 6ft 8 most of the way and companionway large. Her cockpit is huge and has a hard dodger to compliment all the cockpit covers and cushions. Downstairs she is the 2 cabin, 2 head version with massive aft double cabin. Forward is another double with ensuite. In the main cabin the dinette table converts to another huge double plus another opposing bench to starboard that also doubles as a sea berth.

To port the plush Dinette and leaf table seats up to 8. The galley is well appointed and its L shaped layout suits cooking at sea. The navigation station has a good size chart table, all the toys and is a comfy place to do your scheds.

This wonderful boat has just arrived and is ready to go on her next adventure.
