Our tenth Northshore 27 in recent times, we know the design well, and this is a really tidy example at that.
The Northshore 27 was a great success story for Australian designer Hank Kaufman and builder North Shore Yachts.
A popular club racer and family cruiser with sleek hull lines and good volume down below.
With a fully enclosed head, fold away saloon table, a Methylated Spirits stove, ice box, and 5 berths, Northshore 27’s are a great family getaway or club racer with a few mates in the large cockpit.
She is simple to handle by one or two, with all control lines leading back to the cockpit, and a self-furling headsail for easy reefing. A retractable stainless steel swim ladder hangs off the rail for easy water access.
This one is a 1984 boat with new standing rigging, mainsail and boom cover, genoa, solar panel and Yanmar diesel in 2017, a new no. 3 jib in 2019, and a new furler in 2020.
She has less than 500 hours on the Yanmar 1GM 6.5hp shaft drive with 3 blade propellor.
With 6 sails in all, including a spinnaker, she is complete and ready to sail away, AND everything works.
The engine was last serviced in December, she was antifouled in June of this year and her fastidious owner is now ready to hand her over with a complete service log and all receipts having upgraded to a Northshore 33.
