DESCRIPTION
One of the last to be built, a 1988 Northshore 27 is now for sale with DBY Boat Sales.
Siesta boasts an almost new 2020 Volvo 20hp with shaft drive which presents immaculately with only 50 engine running hours and was serviced in May 2021. The propeller shaft seal was also replaced in 2020.
This yacht has been pampered throughout her life including new antifoul and Propspeed in March 2022. Recent upgrades also include a full mast service and replacement of the standing rigging 2 years ago, including removal and inspection of the chain plates, and fitting of a new furling genoa. All the mast’s electrical wiring and LED navigation and mast head lights were fitted at the same time.
Siesta even has boom furling fitted for the main making her super easy to sail and she has a spinnaker and pole.
She comes with a full blue canvas boat cover, as well as a cover for the main boom and a boom awning that offers shade for the cockpit for long lunches. Blue canvas cockpit cushions and an LPG barbecue complete the scene.
The Northshore 27 was a great success story for designer Hank Kaufman and Australian builder North Shore Yachts. This one is amongst the last to have been built and presents in excellent condition.
This particular boat is a great example of the popular club racer and family cruiser with sleek hull lines and good volume down below.
With her fully enclosed head, fold away saloon table, Methylated Spirits stove, ice box, and even an intriguing conversion for the saloon to make up two huge single beds right alongside one another following removal of the saloon table, she is a great family getaway or club racer with a few mates in the large cockpit.
She is simple to handle by one or two with all control lines leading back to the cockpit, and a retractable stainless steel swim ladder hangs off the rail for easy water access
With the recently installed Volvo 20hp diesel and 3 blade fixed prop, VHF radio, depth sounder, compass and even a dinghy with trolley wheels for the beach this boat is ready to go.
