A very versatile attractive looking cruiser/ racer to suit competition or family of 4 + people sailing. Mull design 1/2 tonner with 2ft sugar scoop added.
Roomy below with lots of deck space for comfortable Australian outdoor conditions, made more spacious with improved wheel steering.
A well-loved and fun to sail yacht. Mystique has a 2 bladed folding prop for performance.
Comfortable sailing at 6.5kts and known to see much higher figures than that plus economical motoring with an almost new Vetus engine at 6.0kts.
The hull shape flat bottom means she can surf waves so was once clocked 13kts, and has been known to out-race 40 footers!
Most of the drive comes from the headsail. She is very well balanced so you can let go of the wheel and she tracks straight. Much more than a fickle harbor racer, she is ocean going and heavy air capable.
All halyards etc go back to the cockpit.
Near new 16hp regularly serviced Vetus diesel engine for reliable easy motoring.
Had a major refurbishment in 1998 with wheel steering, cut down transom, sugar scoop, moon room, Perspex skylight hatch, mast step, rudder moved aft and more added along with complete racing overhaul.
