1981 Swanson 28 for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.
Swanson 28's are well known for being pocket sized, strong bluewater cruising yachts.
This 1981 model is in excellent condition and has 2016 rigging as a huge bonus. Comes with an extensive sail wardrobe with some in almost new condition, she is ready for her next adventure. A 2021 survey report is available and could be suitable for insurance purposes as she has just been slipped in 2023 for antifoul.
Set up for short-handing with new Harken self-tailing winches and autopilot. The mainsail is in lazyjacks and the genoa is practically new and on a furlex self furler. Brand new lifelines were scheduled to be installed April 2023
Brand new electric anchor winch with controls at the helm and also the bow. Electrics have been upgraded including new batteries and 2 solar panels.
The aft cockpit is very high sided and offers vast protection from the elements. The tiller steering is light and can be used from the raised seating for better visibility, plus there is an almost new ST2000 Raymarine tiller autopilot.
Over the cockpit area is a choice of two large sun awnings which can be used at the same time to cover the entire boat in shade.
A long bi-fold stainless steel swim ladder is excellent for water entry and mounts neatly on the rail where there is also a bracket for an outboard.
The fully encapsulated long cruising lead keel tracks straight and provides a balanced ride with excellent weight ratio plus is also forgiving if she should happen to touch bottom or need to be careened.
The 2010 model Bukh DV20 has been fully serviced March 2023 and runs well. Anti fouled 2023.
