1976 Swanson 42 now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.

Swanson designed and built, this 42 is a classic sea warrior that retains all the values of safety and easy to handle for a long-term cruising live aboard yacht.

Sails are well set up as a cutter rigged sloop with numerous options within the sail wardrobe.

Australian registration is a bonus, and she is immediately ready for world cruising.

A spacious saloon area just forward of the large galley is a very comfortable place to be. The galley has plenty of storage lockers and shelves, a large kerosene stove and oven plus a deep top loading eutectic chest refrigeration.

The accommodation layout is well thought out and gives a nice aft double with full privacy, a single bunk on the port side adjacent to the engine, another cabin is on the starboard side with full privacy. The pilot house single berth is unique to this design and brilliant for napping whilst underway or to file the kids into so they can view the stars at night.

A large navigation table is on the port side and well protected. Forward of the settee is a completely enclosed head and shower arrangement with loads of room so you can have a proper wash so it's not that claustrophobic feeling of a cramped loo that gets saturated.

There is an area in the bow that is currently storing sails but could be easily transformed into a full workshop or even some additional bunks.

This layout will easily accommodate 5 in comfort but there are additional berthing options if required. Recently upgraded with electronics, out of water extensive service, mostly new plumbing and skin fittings throughout the yacht.

There is an out of water survey that reads very well and is available upon request plus a rigging inspection report from November 2018.
