For the yachting enthusiast, one of Australias most beautiful classic yachts by the famous US designer Ted Hood, this 1982 Ted Hood Little Harbor 50 is now for sale.

Ishara is in showroom condition and will give joy to the owner who appreciates quality.

Below water she has long graceful lines with full intergral 3/4 keel drawing just 5ft 6 inches with a drop down pivoting board for use to windward when needed.

This Ted Hood design is heavy displacement to ensure comfortable sailing in offshore conditions but is set up to be easily handled with Furling main and non-overlapping genoa controlled by electric winches.

Her new whalespar rig even has steps that lead to a crows nest half way up the mast. This feature is so rare these days but makes so much sense for those contemplating any reef cruising.

Her leisurefurl boom, furling headsail and autopilot makes her perfect for those contemplating shorthanded sailing. She is very easy to handle.

Isharas interior is again beautiful with a magnificent gimballed dining table with plush leather upholstery.

She has a generous rear double private cabin and 2 double bunk cabins forward.

The u shaped galley is designed to be snug whilst cooking at sea with no compromise in equipment. A deep stainless sink, 4 burner stove and oven plus freezer and separate fridge all ready for sustained self reliant cruising . Waterwise she has 3 large tanks as well as a 60 litre an hour watermaker.

In electronics equipment she misses nothing with Radar,AIS send/receive/Late model Raymarine package .She also has  a new HF and VHF radio and for entertainment TV and DVD.

She has mostly LED lighting throughout, including Navigation lights.

Powering the boat is a beautifully maintained Perkins 85HP diesel that was rebuilt approx 900 hours ago. This also has a 2nd Alternator 130amp for faster changing via the motor.

Her generator is a Yanmar/Kohler 8KVA.

Recently the owner fitted a new Bow Thruster to assist with handling.
