DESCRIPTION

1992 model Woodward 47 in excellent condition, now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.

This Woodward 47 centre cockpit is a true bluewater cruising yacht with loads of quality upgrades to electronics and the 2009 model Volvo 75 hp is an absolute gem. Ready to sail away.

Stepping onboard from a dinghy is simple via the sugar scoop transom and swim platform that leads up to an opening in the stainless steel pushpit between the deluxe double champagne seats. A generous sized secure ladder steps up from the water.

The cockpit area has ultra-wide seating and a suitable sized table plus flip up extensions for entertaining at least 6 adults under cover with additional protection from the rigid front dodger.

The helm position is well protected from the elements and all control lines and instruments are within easy reach. Deck areas are large, flat and uncluttered which allows for safe moving around the yacht whilst underway.

Stainless steel targa supporting solar, dinghy davits and 2 wind generators supply charging to the 5 house batteries.

Sturdy stainless-steel rails surround the whole aft end of the yacht with well-placed hand rails on top of the coach house roof. Protection where you spend most time outside, a bonus, as are the gates.

Sail handling is simple with the main being on a boom furler, a staysail on a removable inner forestay and the Genoa is on a furler. The boom furler with infinite reefing points, allows you to drop the furler to the deck quickly if need be. A Spinnaker in a sock could be added if plenty of crew.

Stepping down below, it's easy to start feeling like you're at home. The carpeted flooring, warm timbers, abundant windows and opening hatches plus the high headroom throughout the yacht make it feel very liveable.

The aft cabin is a beauty and has a private ensuite alongside the queen-sized bed that lies athwartships. The corridor from aft cabin to galley area is an easy passageway rather than the skinny ones on some centre cockpitters.

On the starboard side of the engine is another cabin with 2 single bunks. These can easily be converted to a queen double.

The port side galley is L shaped and has loads of storage and food prep areas. A very generous 1650 litres of drinking water allows for extended cruising. Main 12v fridge in galley, 1 freezer in galley, plus 3rd fridge in the cockpit.

A navigation table and repeat electronics are along the starboard side. The saloon area is light filled and spacious, with seating on the lounges for at least 8.

The second bathroom is just forward of the saloon and in between the large V berth. This is a true turn-key and go cruising package. Inspections will not disappoint.
