Australia’s premier luxury boat builder, Maritimo, will feature its exciting new 56 Cruising Motoryacht among a display of four boats at the annual Miami Yacht and Brokerage Boat Show in Miami Beach beginning on February 11.

The company will also display its 48, 52 and 60 Motoryachts. The award-winning 60 is the boat that started the Maritimo revolution and remains one of the company’s most popular models.

This is the first year Maritimo has chosen to display at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Boat Show.

According to Dave Northrop, President of Maritimo USA, the new location in Collins Street at Miami will attract quality visitors and buyers.

“We are pleased with the site,” he said.

The introduction of the new 56 Cruising Motoryacht heralds a new era for the award-winning yard.

In profile, the Maritimo 56 presents a sleeker appearance, with more rake to its bow and a flying bridge slightly longer than previously seen on the Maritimo flying bridge range. It is also the first flying bridge design from the company without the trademark wings incorporated into the ‘bridge.

Dave Northrop said this new model goes one step further in breaking the mould of the traditional flying bridge concept.

“The concept has been aimed at the game fishing fraternity,” he explained. “But we believe that most people who own flying bridge boats appreciate what the design delivers – appearance, command, vision, accommodation – but don’t have the slightest interest in big game fishing.

“The Maritimo 56 is aimed squarely at that market segment,” he added.

The Maritimo 56 retains many of the features that have won the company its reputation for innovation and build quality.

The popular and convenient internal staircase to the ‘bridge, safe and spacious walk-around side decks and the fuel-efficient variable deadrise hull with the nine-degree shaft angle are among the features retained.

The 48, 52 and new 56 Motoryachts share three cabin layouts, with aft galley and forward helm position in the flybridge. The 60 has four cabins.

The in-water-only display at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Boat Show covers more than 1.2 million square feet of space over a mile-long strip in Collins Avenue.

Admission is free.
