Luxury cruiser manufacturer Maritimo is about to embark on production of a 45 foot cruising motor yacht which will be one of its stand out models in 2012.

The Maritimo M45 Cruising Motor yacht has evolved after considerable research and development including one-on-one research sessions not only with dealers but also current Maritimo owners to ensure that it meets all market expectations.

The boat will go in to production early in 2012.

Marketing director Luke Durman said the M45 was set to be a stunning, high performance vessel which would have broad appeal.

“We have our views of what the market is looking for in this type of vessel and size range, but we want to make sure we are correct before we go into full production so we have done considerable research and listened to those in the market,” he said.

“The vessel will have all the hallmarks of quality, design, style and excellent sea-keeping abilities evident in our other Maritimo models but it will also have a number of unique features.

“For instance recessed walk-around side decks will make it easy to move around the vessel.”

Mr Durman said the M44 would feature a generous saloon comparable to the Maritimo M48 and M53, saloon windows forward allowing plenty of natural light and a sense of space, a cleverly designed saloon daybed/lounge that converts to a double berth, an aft galley and wide opening bi-fold saloon doors, internal staircase to flybridge, a three sided enclosed flybridge with forward helm, an aft full width flybridge dinette lounge that converts to a double berth, transom barbeque console and  a two cabin, two bathroom layout.

In all the boat will have the capacity to sleep eight people and will come with the choice of twin shaft or two IPS propulsion models.

“We have run a number of sessions with dealers and customers and taken on board their feedback and desires in terms of what the boat will ultimately look like and include.

“Maritimo is all about delivering high quality, stylish vessels that actually work and function brilliantly in everyday use.

“We are at the forefront of the industry when it comes to performance and much of that can be attributed to Bill Barry Cotter who instinctively knows what will work the best mechanically and in terms of hull design.”

Mr Durman said Maritimo’s size enables it to be agile and adaptable to the changing market demands and meant it could add more individuality to the range of vessels it produced.

“This is a perfect example of that maneuverability in action,” he said.
