Maritimo opens new sales offices on the Gold Coast

South-east Queensland Maritimo Dealer Noel Leigh-Smith has completed a $500,000 fitout to open his new Dealership offices at Runaway Bay and at Marina Mirage.

“We’re officially open for business,” said Leigh-Smith. “We have increased our staff numbers and we’re working hard to complete contracts following our great success at the Sanctuary Cove boat show.”

The sparkling new office at Runaway Bay features dual entries with lounges at either end. The Marina Mirage office is replete with tent-like roofing to match Marina Mirage and sits on a floating pontoon in the marina. It was built entirely at the Maritimo factory.

“The quality fitout reflects our commitment to our customers,” said Leigh-Smith. “As well as a comfortable office environment, we have 10 berths in the Runaway Bay marina for new and pre-owned boats.

He said the Dealership has mobile service vehicles to assist clients at their own marina berths.

“We are also spreading our sales and service offering to central and northern Queensland, particularly to Mackay and the Whitsundays and as far as Darwin. We recently delivered a boat to a client in the Northern Territory.” 

Leigh-Smith has boosted his team, recruiting Schutt from the Southport Yacht Club and Marcus Millard who works at Runaway Bay.

He said the Marina Mirage office is now run by Graham Schutt.

“Graham has a strong reputation in boat sales and also comes from a well-known aircraft industry family so he has great skills in the high-end recreational market. He has five exclusive berths beside the office.”

Marcus Millard began his career in the boating industry while he was still at school. He went on to gain a diploma in business and became a design engineer in the automotive industry. But he always wanted to get back to the boating business.

“I was working for another company at Runaway Bay when Noel began expanding his Maritimo dealership,” said Marcus. “It is a great opportunity to work with one of the world’s best brands and an iconic dealership.”

Maritimo Runaway Bay and Marina Mirage are open six days a week with boats permanently on display.
