Mercury Marine’s racing pedigree has never been more clearly revealed, as it totally dominated the World Ski Race Titles just held at Redcliffe, north of Brisbane.
Six world titles were decided and on every winning boat Mercury Racing supplied the engine or the drive or both. As well, all six boats had a Mercury Racing propeller.

“Unbelievably, Mercury’s domination went even further than that,” said Mercury Marine’s Director of Racing Guy Williamson.
“Of the 18 teams which finished on the podium, we supplied the engine or the drive or both to 17 of them. We also supplied every single propeller.
“These are the World Championships where the very best take everything to the limit and for Mercury to play such a key role – well, the simple facts say far more than I could.”
Australian skiers were also dominant, taking five of the six crowns. Two of the triumphant skiers – Jack Houston and Kelsey Feros – finished the competition undefeated.
“On behalf of everyone at Mercury, I’d like to congratulate all six of the new world champions as well as all the rest of the competitors and organisers,” Guy said.
“Not only was it a brilliant outcome it was also an amazing event which we can all be proud of.”
