Multihull Central to host ultimate catamaran show experience

Coinciding with this year’s Sydney International Boat Show, Multihull Central is hosting the ultimate boat show experience for catamaran buyers. In addition to the range of luxury Seawind catamarans on display including the flagship Seawind 1250, award winning Seawind 1160 and popular Seawind 1000XL, Multihull Central will be hosting daily test sails onboard the Seawind 1000XL and Seawind 1160 on Sydney Harbour, allowing catamaran buyers to fully experience the outstanding quality and performance of a Seawind while visiting the boat show.

The test sails will operate from Darling Harbour each day at 2pm and finish at Multihull Central’s Brokerage Show located nearby at their Rozelle Bay catamaran marina, where around a dozen brokerage catamarans will also be on display including a range of quality preowned Seawinds and other popular brands such as Outremer, Lagoon, Crowther and more. A short return trip on the Lightrail from Rozelle Bay back to the Darling Harbour Convention Center allows customers to get a complete catamaran and boat show experience all in one day.

Multihull Central’s Managing Director Brent Vaughan comments on the show experience he has planned for Sydney this year, “It’s rare to have the opportunity to see a range of catamarans all in one location, let alone actually sail and experience the boats on the water”,

“Unfortunately many catamaran buyers have no choice but to buy new boats from brochures or from the dock of a marina, without ever experiencing the boat on the water, and that’s where Seawind’s really shine,” Brent said.

“Seawind have built a reputation over 30 years for safe, strong and seaworthy boats that are excellent to sail and that’s difficult to appreciate until you have been onboard with the sails up and have seen how carefully thought through these boats are,” he said.

“We plan to provide the complete experience and allow customers to make an educated decision, as the sailing ability and ease of handling of a catamaran is just as important as the layout and finish,” he said.

With Multihull Central’s one of a kind catamaran marina in Rozelle Bay, only 5 minutes from Darling Harbour, the decision to host a brokerage catamaran show simultaneously with the Sydney Show was an easy one, as Brent explains, “We have an incredible facility for catamarans in the heart of the city and have brought together a great range of used catamarans to suit all budgets.”

“Our team of sales agents are flying in from all around the country, from as far as Perth, Airlie Beach, Brisbane and Melbourne to support the activities during the Sydney Boat Show and we are expecting strong sales thanks to the soaring interest in catamarans for cruising,” Brent said.

Further to the Seawinds on display at the Sydney Boat Show, Multihull Central will also have information on the award winning Outremer catamarans that the company distributes in Australia. The Outremer 5X was recently awarded the European Yacht of the Year for 2013 thanks to its beautiful interior design, superior performance and lightweight construction.
