Emarine Australia is all set to take delivery of the brand new Back Cove 30, which is due to reach Australian shores early next month.
With the eager owners scoring ‘Hull No.2’, and another already pre-sold into Australia, the new Back Cove model looks set to make a big impact in the high-quality 30’ cruising market.
Replacing the popular Back Cove 29 (the model that launched Back Cove in 2003), the new 30 characterises Back Cove’s modern evolution of a time-honoured style. Presenting a traditional spoon bow, deep vee and stylish, gently sloping transom, the Back Cove 30 offers the elegance of a traditional Maine lobster boat. The hull has been constructed using state-of-the-art infusion technology for increased strength and reduced weight making this model even more fuel efficient than its predecessor.
Internally, the new boat features a comfortable V-berth that converts to a seating area around a saloon table. The Back Cove 30 also features a fully-equipped galley along with separate head and shower. Cockpit space is uncluttered and the helm position offers clear lines of sight while large, signature windows create a bright and airy space in the cockpit deck.
The new 30 can reach cruising speeds of around 20kt with the standard 315hp diesel engine (upgrade available). With downward turning chines forward, the boat will plane with little effort meaning an efficient transition with little bow rise. A bow thruster, also a standard feature, lends to the efficiency of the Back Cove 30 and makes manoeuvring simple.
Emarine Australia will have the new Back Cove 30 available for viewing and trials during an exclusive on-water day in mid-September.
