New Mustang marque defies industry slowdown
Mustang, Australia’s leading manufacturer of luxury Sports Cruiser and Sports Flybridge boats recently staged the international launch for their stunning new 430 Sports Coupe. A select group of invitees attended a gala event at the company’s Gold Coast manufacturing facility, which heralded the launch of the vessel and a re-launch for the popular Australian brand.
With the first order secured in December, and a further three orders secured on the night, the new boat has definitely struck a chord with local boaties, and defies the so called marine industry slowdown.
“We’re all so proud of the new 430 Sports Coupe as it reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone in our team at Mustang” said Chris Heaton Mustang CEO. “The boat features the latest technology, the highest quality materials, and a world class design, whilst representing real value for money for those looking for a high quality boat. Plus we’re so happy the first three boats will remain at homes on the Gold Coast and the fourth boat to head to our newly signed dealer in Dubai.” Mr Heaton went on to say.
With growing demand for medium range cruising, with entertaining all on one level, the 430 Sports Coupe has been designed to offer that and much more. The team at Mustang have leveraged the proven performance and sea-keeping ability of their popular M43 Sports Flybridge hull, and adapted it for their new marque. Pod drive propulsion has proven extremely popular across the Mustang range, with the 430 Sports Coupe to feature twin IPS 600’s from Volvo Penta or the Cummins Zeus system. Mustang has led the market with the integration of IPS or pod drive engines, being the first Australian manufacturer to offer the system in their sports cruiser and sport flybridge range.
The vessel features a range of exclusive electrical appointments with a software driven touch screen vessel electrical management system, the latest marine electronics and teamed with an extensive entertainment system.
Owner feedback has driven a clear focus on safety elements within the design, with wide walk-around side decks and cockpit steps, high bow-rails and many conveniently positioned hand-rails to ensure the utmost safety when on-board. The bow features a cushioned sun-pad with drink holders, speakers and remote audio controls for the entertainment system.
Plentiful storage has been integrated into the design with the option of a 2 or 3 cabin layout and the latest ergonomic design for the aft-galley and saloon sure to impress. The master cabin includes large windows in the hull for natural light. The 430 Coupe is available in two layouts, either 2 cabin – 1 bathroom, or 3 cabin – 2 bathrooms.
The 430 is finished with rich black walnut floors and high gloss American cherry cabinetry, with the very best Australian leather for the saloon lounge and Italian helm chairs. The high quality Italian influence also extends to the door handles and taps, with solid surface worktops in the galley and bar area, and a porcelain vanity bowl.
The beamy cockpit area features an optional teak floor, large ice-box and easy access through to the saloon via the large opening bulkhead door and electric galley window. Plus the high quality timber cockpit table and roomy cushioned seat will provide a perfect entertaining area for family and friends.
The large boot storage area includes outboard brackets, fender storage plus a fold-out BBQ, and there is an optional hydraulic swim platform and passerelle.
Access to the engine room is via an electrically controlled hatch, with the engine room and serviceable areas featuring plenty of roomy access.
