NEEL Trimarans continues to set the benchmark in innovation with the launch of the new NEEL 60.
A lightweight trimaran with head-turning sleek lines, the NEEL 60 will deliver exceptional performance in offshore conditions without compromising comfort, safety and ease of handling.
The NEEL 60 has a ‘sporty chic’ interior courtesy of the inspired work of Franck Darnet Design, combining a contemporary feel with sophisticated and refined textiles and fixtures.
The unique design has been carefully considered, with a range of layouts, from three to five cabins plus crew accommodation, available to accommodate the varying requirements of commercial charter needs and private family cruising.
Expansive panoramic views are enjoyed through panoramic saloon windows, with two tables that can accommodate up to 12 diners. Two generous L-shaped sofas are ideal for relaxing with friends, while the large central chart table surveys the sea with a 220° outlook. The central galley features a bar facility to further enhance the entertaining benefits of the boat.
The main living area presents innovation in the multihull market being located on the same level as the cabins, allowing ergonomic and seamless movement throughout the interior.
The owner’s suite is majestic, boasting a large double bed and a remarkable 2.5m wide bay window bathes the area with natural light. The main cabin has an exclusive ensuite with a shower boasting ocean views through its unique vertical window.
Each of the guest cabins also enjoys its own ensuite, as does the independent crew cabin which is discreetly located in the central hull. This central hull has a staircase that leads to the engine room and technical precinct, separated to prevent noise and fumes from disturbing the main living areas.
Wide sliding doors grant access to the huge cockpit that has a 10-seater table,
outdoor galley and a wide sunbathing area to starboard. The skirt of the central hull platform offers a large step-free swimming deck equipped with a bathing ladder, and there is dinghy storage space complete with rotating electric loading crane to stow and protect the tender while underway.
At the rear of the side floats, there are stowage bins for a host of watersports gear such as canoes, windsurfers and kayaks, with quick and direct access to the sea by the skirts.
The 33m2 flybridge area is accessed via a cockpit staircase from the cockpit, and contains both the helmstation and an additional dining area with a comfortable bench that converts to a sunbathing zone. The helm has all maneuvering systems and electric winch control centralised to avoid disturbing the comfort of guests and allow for easy handling with reduced crew. Remote control of the engine and bow thruster from the flybridge facilitates stress-free docking.
Each side float has large deck access hatches to extra space which can serve as storage for sails, diving equipment or be converted into additional sleeping cabins with two single bunks per float.
A “High Performance” option is available with a net weight gain of 1.1 tonnes. This option includes carbon mast with rail and trolleys and Harken ball races, carbon canoe boom, textile standing rigging , Dyneema running rigging, carbon pulpit and helm wheel, mainsail, genoa and staysail in Hydranet (Spectra / Dacron) genaker and fittings, Harken Performa winches, and composite core fixtures.
