New Palm Beach 45 features FinScan IntelliCORE Smart Power

Marine electronics manufacturer FinScan, announced today the inclusion of the IntelliCORE Smart Power system as a standard feature on the new Palm Beach Motor Yachts 45, to be launched at the 2012 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Palm Beach Motor Yachts manufacture 45ft to 65ft motor yachts, having won the “Best new powerboat” award at the Newport International Boat Show for two years running. They are amongst the finest custom built pleasure boats, incorporating the latest technology in composite boat construction, yet still retaining a traditional feel.

The PB 45 is fitted with a fully featured IntelliCORE Smart Power system. This includes AC source management with reverse polarity disconnect, AC / DC Digital switching, and monitoring of all batteries and tank levels from one helm mounted touch screen.

By utilising the IntelliCORE system, Palm Beach Motor Yachts have simplified the electrical installation with significantly less wiring and switching, yet enhanced the features and useability of the PB45. All systems are operated from one touchscreen, that includes graphical switching, and easy navigation between AC sources, DC systems, Battery Monitoring and Tank Monitoring screens. The philosophy behind the IntelliCORE touchscreen operation is simplicity.

The PB45 on board systems will be very easy to operate with this system installed, and will also feature an uncluttered helm as most of the traditional type switches will no longer exist.”

FinScan will be conducting detailed demonstrations of the IntelliCORE system during the 2012 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, at in Pavillion A – Stand 133.
