At Europe’s largest boat shows, the Düsseldorf boat show in January, the Nimbus 365 Coupé was voted the winner in the face of some very tough competition.

The “European Powerboat of the year” award is a prestigious prize given by the European boat press’ most experienced test drivers. The 35-45 foot class title was won by the Nimbus 365 Coupé in competition with the British Princess V39 and Sealine SC 42, the Polish Galeon 420 and the Bavaria Sport 43 HT of Germany.

Journalists from seven international boat magazines made up the jury; Boote from Germany, Marina from Switzerland, Neptune from France, Yachtrevue from Austria, Båtliv from Sweden, Vene from Norway and Barche a Motore of Italy.

Factors taken into account by the jury include safety, boatbuilding quality, driving properties, layout and the price-performance ratio.

‘We are thrilled and proud to have won the finest award in the pleasure boat business. This shows we are in the forefront of new thinking, smart functions and good design,’ said Magnus Andersson, managing director, Nimbus Boats.

‘Our Coupé boats have attracted a lot of attention throughout Europe and in countries in which we have not been active previously.’
