Oceanic Trailers has introduced a custom paint option for models in its Ultra Roller and Easy Loader series.
Offered as an option on trailers over 5m in length, the professional two-pack finish can be closely matched to a boat’s hull colour o the colour of the tow vehicle.
Oceanic Trailers director Phil Peterson said the custom paint option was introduced at the request of enthusiast boaters who wanted the “full package”.
“Colour-coded trailers have always been popular among the waterski and wakeboard fraternity, and demand is now steadily increasing among anglers,” Mr Peterson said.
“There’s seriously big money being spent on trailerable fishing boats these days and many people want more than just alloy wheels to enhance the look of their rigs.
“Many of the larger offshore trailerboats require dedicated tow vehicles to get them to various fishing ports around the country, and owners have indicated an extra couple of grand for a custom paint job was neither here nor there.”
Prior to painting, every steel component – frames, axles, springs, U-bolts, bolts and nuts – used in the construction of every Oceanic Trailer is hot-dip galvanised or Dacromet coated for ultimate durability in Australia’s harsh marine environment.
The trailer is then professionally prepared and finished in durable two-pack paint, according to each owner’s preference. Areas of high wear are intentionally left unpainted to reduce the risk of unsightly scratching that can occur through general use, while the guards are finished with stylish checkerplate to create non-slip steps.
Further to increasing the aesthetic appeal of the rig, Oceanic Trailers’ custom paint option also offers an increased level of corrosion protection.
