A group of federal politicians recently got a taste of Yachting Australia’s new Discover Sailing program, hitting the water at Canberra Yacht Club.

Sailing was a part of the annual Politician Sports Festival with a group heading out with London 2012 Olympic Games silver medallist Olivia Price.

The group included Anna Burke MP, Speaker of the House of Representatives, along with her two children, Luke Hartsuyker MP, Shadow Minister for Youth and Sport, Nick Champion MP, Dennis Jensen MP, Rob Mitchell MP and Senator David Fawcett.

In very light conditions Price spent time on the water with the group, talking about her London 2012 campaign and giving them a taste of sailing.

That evening, Price, along with London 2012 Olympic Games gold medallist Malcolm Page, attended the Sports Advocacy Dinner, with Page speaking as a part of a panel.
