Prawns on the Pier

Coomera, QLD: More than 200 people are expected to enjoy prawns, wine and beer on the pier as they celebrate the beginning of the festive season at Gold Coast City Marina on November 25.

The annual fundraiser is hosted by the Rotary Club of Coomera River and in its third year has helped many local community and sporting groups, including the Coomera Soccer Club.

Jennifer Dreyer from the Rotary Club of Coomera River said the first event raised enough funds to put towards a sporting wheelchair for a young Coomera boy.

“It is very gratifying to be able to make a difference to people’s lives and we hope this year’s event will help us raise enough funds to install play equipment and a shade cover in a local Coomera park,” she said.

The third annual Prawns, Wine and Beer on the Pier costs $85 per person and includes prawns straight from the trawler, wine, beer, soft drinks, live entertainment and raffle prizes.

Tables of 10 are available for large groups or those wishing to celebrate their annual Christmas Parties.
