Riviera has celebrated the 50th 5000 Sport Yacht sold since its release in 2009 by making a special pre-Christmas delivery to her Sydney owners.
As one of Riviera’s most popular models, the 5000 Sport Yacht with Cummins Zeus pod drives and a standard layout of three cabins and two bathrooms, has recently undergone a series of design enhancements including, new large hull windows and optional opening portholes to the aft cabin to allow more light and fresh air, fixed hull windows to the forward cabin, even greater storage, enhanced lower lounge design on the two cabin option, and the forward sun pad now features adjustable head rests.
The next generation Sport Yacht has been designed and built for the global market and is akin to a floating five-star resort.
Her new owners are previous Riviera owners who will no doubt enjoy Christmas and New Year in Sydney Harbour and cruising around the tranquil Hawkesbury River.
Riviera’s director of brand and communications, Stephen Milne said this was a significant milestone for Riviera.
“To have launched 50 new 5000 Sport Yachts in the three years since it was released is an impressive accomplishment and one worth celebrating,” Mr Milne said.
“At Riviera we are immensely proud of our rich 32-year heritage, our humble beginnings, and our growth into Australia’s iconic boating brand, and only last month we celebrated the launching of our 5000th boat, a new model 445 SUV. So the past few months of this year have really given us some reasons to celebrate.
“The launch of our 50th 5000 Sport Yacht signifies the strength of the Riviera brand, our innovative designs, quality craftsmanship and our loyal owners across the globe.”
Riviera CEO, Wes Moxey said Riviera had gone from strength to strength since the purchase of the business by Rodney Longhurst in March of this year, and this milestone was yet another great achievement in Riviera’s history.
“Since Rodney purchased the business, we have put a great amount of energy into our new model development plan. The new SUV series with the 445 model released in August this year and a second, larger model, the 565, which will be launched in May next year, are just two examples of the new direction that Riviera is taking,” Mr Moxey said.
“The new 50 Enclosed Flybridge which will be released in August next year is a further example of this aggressive plan and we have several more designs now under way for a series of exciting new models, so watch this space.
“We are immensely proud to launch our 50th 5000 Sport Yacht and we are positive her new owners will enjoy many years and memorable moments on board.”
