Sanctuary Cove, QLD: More than 100 Riviera enthusiasts chipped in to raise $17,000 for local charity, Givit Kids.
R Marine Crawley dealer principal and philanthropist, Ben Crawley, said it was heart warming to see so many people get behind the charity golf day.
“Everyone got into the spirit of the four player Ambrose day, and it was pleasing to see our owners having a good time and enjoying themselves. Four Rivieras berthed overnight at Sanctuary Cove with 10 couples on board, so the socialising didn’t end at the 18th hole,” said Ben.
“We had a total of 18 sponsors, including Grand Motors Mercedes Benz at Robina who were our major sponsors.
“This event was so successful, it has now been added to our annual events calendar and I look forward to raising more funds next year for this very worthwhile charity.”
The Givit Kids Foundation is the brainchild of Juliette Wright who established the charity two years ago and has since helped some 65,000 people.
Ben said Givit Kids was dedicated to encouraging safe and targeted philanthropic behaviour in children.
“Givit Kids provides cash, products, food, furniture and clothing directly to the people who need it, while teaching children the value of giving,” he said.
“Over the past 10 years, I have raised in excess of $250,000 for different charities, and R Marine Crawley is proud to be the major sponsor of Givit Kids. We chose Givit Kids because, unlike many other charities, 100 per cent of the funds or items donated go directly to the people who need it most.”
R Marine Crawley would like to thank those who supported the inaugural Charity Golf Day and we look forward to encouraging as many people as possible to get involved in 2013.
