Riviera’s long established New Zealand dealer will celebrate a new chapter with the June opening of its new purpose built premises in Auckland.
The new look R Marine NZ also celebrates the involvement of passionate Riviera owners John Forsyth and Cameron Gregory, and Riviera marine industry veteran Dean Horgan as new directors of the dealership.
Riviera has been building boats for the past 33 years and has exported boats to New Zealand for the past 26 years. There are now over 400 Riviera luxury cruisers in New Zealand, including the first new flagship 75 Enclosed Flybridge, which was delivered to a New Zealand couple last year.
Boasting pristine waterways and the famous Auckland Harbour, New Zealand has one of the highest boat ownership levels per capita in the world.
Speaking on behalf of R Marine New Zealand, Dean Horgan said the new dealership structure represented an exciting new era for the Riviera family in New Zealand.
“Our long-term experience, energy and intimate understanding of our owners needs will enable us to quickly and seamlessly achieve a new R Marine NZ dealership that will offer a raft of exciting initiatives,” Mr Horgan said.
“John, Cameron and I are equally passionate about Riviera, we all own Rivs and are confident that our combined and complimentary skills, knowledge and expertise will create the ultimate boating experience.”
Riviera CEO Wes Moxey congratulated John, Dean and Cameron on their involvement as new directors of R Marine New Zealand.
“Together, John, Dean and Cameron will form a formidable team and all of us at the Riviera factory at Coomera look forward to working with the new team in the future,” Mr Moxey said.
“John is a multiple Riviera owner with a background in the mega yacht industry as chief engineer. A successful business owner in his own right, John has a true love of all things nautical.
“Cameron has been a highly enthusiastic Riviera owner for the past 16 years. He brings with him a wealth of business knowledge, drive and energy that will assist the new team to deliver a totally service focused owner experience.
“Dean has more than 25 years marine industry knowledge, 10 of which has been in sales and support for R Marine NZ. His technical knowledge on all things Riviera and a strong customer focus will ensure our valued owners needs and expectations are consistently exceeded.
“Riviera NZ dealer principal, Bruce McGill is stepping aside from this role after many years with the company. He will enjoy a well deserved break and we wish him every success for the future.”
Mr Horgan said they would host a special celebration in July to commemorate the new R Marine NZ dealership and give Riviera owners an opportunity to meet the full team.
“Our firm focus is now directed towards Riviera’s exciting future in New Zealand and we are looking forward to introducing new owner initiatives and services, as well as showcasing the exciting new models from Riviera and Belize that will be introduced at the Festival of Boating held from May 23 to 26 at Riviera headquarters at Coomera on the Gold Coast.
“Several of our owners are heading west in May for this ultimate educational and social boating event. If any other Riviera owners or powerboat enthusiasts would like to join us, we would be delighted to share R Marine New Zealand’s plans and the program for later in May. Over the next few weeks and months there will be as many visible changes as there will be invisible changes to our dealership, all driven to strengthen the overall position of Riviera and Belize Motoryachts in New Zealand.”
