Following on from a very successful association in 2010 and 2011, RFD and Yachting Australia have renewed the sponsorship arrangement for a further two years.
As part of the previous sponsorship agreement, RFD played a significant supporting role for Yachting Australia’s Sports Services and Training programs.
The extension to the agreement was recently signed off by Mark Barker, Managing Director of RFD Australia, and Phil Jones, CEO of Yachting Australia.
RFD is a world leader in the manufacture and supply of maritime safety survival systems and are most commonly known for Liferafts, Lifejackets, EPIRBs and associated marine safety equipment.
In the Sports Services area, RFD will continue working with Yachting Australia on the IRC Rating System certification program, providing IRC certificate holders with a range of offers and opportunities surrounding RFD products.
RFD will also continue its involvement and support with Yachting Australia’s Training programs including the Yachtmaster Instructors Courses and Sea Safety and Survival Courses (SSSC).
RFD was supportive of Yachting Australia Instructors, including a presence at the RYA-Yachting Australia Yachtmaster Annual Conference, hands-on product presentations and special offers to Yachting Australia Training Centers.
Yachting Australia CEO Phil Jones confirmed RFD’s support over the past two years as being invaluable.
“Through the support of RFD our important training and education functions have been bolstered throughout Australia,” said Mr. Jones.
“RFD has a long history of supplying quality safety and survival equipment to the yachting industry and we’re very happy that RFD is continuing to support Yachting Australia for another two years.”
Mark Barker, Managing Director of RFD Australia said, “RFD Australia is very pleased with the way Yachting Australia has embraced our sponsorship. We are delighted to have had a supporting role with the ongoing training of instructors for the Yacht Master and Sea Safety Survival Courses and ongoing support of the IRC certification program.”
“RFD and Yachting Australia are leaders in their respective fields and the continuing association between the two organizations, through this renewed agreement, will foster improved services and training resources for the safety of all those who participate in sailing activities,” Mr Barker said.
RFD is a world leading supplier of marine safety products and inflatable watercraft marketed under a range of brand names. Some of these brands include Crewsaver, Plastimo boating equipment, ACR lights, Kannad Marine and Comet pyrotechnics.
