Riviera officially launched a fresh, new, colourful range of soft furnishings at the 2012 Sydney International Boat Show.
The latest colour palettes to emerge from Australia’s largest and most awarded luxury boat builder have been created by expert interior designer, Vivienne Sales.
Mrs Sales has more than 15 years experience in interior design and has a long-standing relationship with Riviera as the design consultant and manufacturer of Riviera’s soft furnishings here in Australia.
“A lot of thought has gone into these new ranges, it really is a combination of feedback from Riviera owners around the world, and I think the response at Sydney Boat Show will be very positive,” she said.
“The manufacturing process is really hands-on. I liaise with international fabric companies to ensure our new collection is based around the latest international thinking in colours and design. In fact we have a new colour palette that will not be on display at the boat show because it is so new the fabrics have not yet landed in Australia.
“I also work out the design of the piping, the colour arrangement and the combination of the different fabric. This collection combines a mixture of different fabrics such as jacquard, stripes and plains. It works really well together creating a fresh, crisp, modern yet timeless style. This entire collection is all custom-made for Riviera owners.
“I am really excited about our new 2012 colour schemes. Our Chambray package is a beautiful periwinkle blue; it’s a really nice, fresh range. We also have a gorgeous red and taupe range called Rouge that really complements the timber.
“Our Vanilla package is just exquisite with its winter white colourings and beautiful grape trim, it’s really attractive.”
Riviera’s new soft furnishings collection includes eight different colour palettes; Midnight, Pepper, Vanilla, Rouge, Chambray, Sesame, Royal and Seamist.
“I selected co-ordinating colours when creating these new collections so that Riviera owners don’t have to worry about that, however, they can create their own colour combinations if they wish,” she said.
Mrs Sales began her career as a fashion designer in New Zealand with her own women’s wear label and then developed a children’s wear label. In 1997, Mrs Sales and her family moved to Australia where she began her career as an interior designer.
Riviera’s director of brand and communications, Stephen Milne, said the launch of Riviera’s new soft furnishings range coincided with the world release of the company’s exciting and new SUV range.
“The 2012 Sydney International Boat Show marks many firsts for Riviera with the launch of our brand new SUV model series, the release of the designs for the new 50 Enclosed Flybridge and our new soft furnishings range,” he said.
Vivienne is available by appointment through Riviera’s Experience Centre to meet with Riviera owners and assist with the selection of an interior décor package or create an entirely custom design to suit the owners’ individual tastes.
Riviera offers 14 different models from 36 to 75 feet across three model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht and Offshore Express.
Riviera also offers the bespoke Motor Yacht line, Belize Motoryachts. Inspired by classic luxury details and timeless style, Belize Motoryachts has just released the new 52 foot Sedan and Daybridge models.
