The first model in Riviera’s new SUV Collection, the 445, took centre stage at the 2012 Sydney International Boat Show, where she made her debut performance in front of thousands of boating enthusiasts.
The 445 was one of the stars of the show with Riviera taking two deposits for this new model, one bound for an owner in Adelaide and the other bound for an owner in the US where she will make her American
debut at the 2012 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show held from October 25 – 29.
This new model lead Riviera’s star studded cast of impressive new boats, including from the Sport Yacht range; the 5800 with IPS or Zeus, 5000 with Zeus, 4400 Series II with IPS and the 3600 with IPS; from the Flybridge range; the 63 Enclosed Flybridge with shaft drive, 53 Enclosed Flybridge with Zeus or IPS and 43 Open Flybridge with IPS; and from the Belize Motoryacht range; the new Belize 52 Daybridge.
Riviera’s director of brand and communications Stephen Milne said there was strong interest in Riviera’s latest models, including the new 50 Enclosed Flybridge which is due for release mid 2013.
“The Sydney International Boat Show was indeed very encouraging for Riviera with a total of $11 million in retail sales achieved over the five days of the show with a significant number of these sales
representing new boats that are yet to commence construction,” Mr Milne said.
“We released the final details and pricing of our new 50 Enclosed Flybridge which will have its world release at the 2013 Sydney International Boat Show and is now in full product development.
“This entirely new model certainly impressed the Australian boating market with two contracts signed for the 50 to customers from Melbourne and the Gold Coast.
“We also have many sea trials booked with prospective clients following the show and judging from the positive feedback we received during the show, we anticipate further sales will be secured in coming weeks.
“It is pleasing to see the diverse range of boats that have been sold to various locations around Australia and across the Pacific, including two 43 Open Flybridges bound for New Zealand and Queensland, one 3600 Sport Yacht and one 5000 Sport Yacht both to Sydney-based customers, and three new Belize 52 Daybridges bound for two owners in Sydney and one owner in north Queensland.
“Riviera also won the award for Best Overall Display on the marina, which was extremely gratifying for our hard working team who put a lot of effort into showcasing the latest Riviera and Belize models.
“It was a great result for Riviera with sales being achieved across the range and from a wide geographic base. The level of genuine enquiry was considerably greater than we had anticipated and our dealer network is buoyed by the market’s enthusiasm to their future boating adventures. The common sentiment from our clients expressed repeatedly at the show was ‘Life is too short to keep putting off what you really want to do, so now we’ve decided to get on with our life and stop waiting for our new boat’.”
The newest models from Australia’s most awarded luxury boat builder are now preparing for their next round of Boat Shows, including Auckland, NZ in September; Cannes, France in September: Fort Lauderdale, Florida in October; and the Gold Coast International Marine Expo in November.
“All of these shows will certainly contribute to a strengthening forward order book for Australia’s largest luxury cruiser manufacturer,” Mr Milne said.
Riviera offers 15 different models from 36 to 75 feet across four model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and the new SUV collection.
Riviera also offers the bespoke Motor Yacht line, Belize Motoryachts. Inspired by classic luxury details and timeless style, Belize Motoryachts has recently released the new 52 foot Sedan and Daybridge
