Sanctuary Cove, QLD, Australia:
Riviera celebrated the launch of its two newest models, the 53 Enclosed Flybridge and the 61 Series II Flybridge with a VIP launch party on the Friday night of the show where 450 Riviera owners and guests enjoyed star-studded entertainment.
Talented tribute performers Dame Edna Everage and Michael Jackson entertained revellers from the bow of the new 70 Flybridge beneath multi-coloured laser lights.
Dame Edna’s unique and irreverent humour stirred many laughs prior to the Michael Jackson tribute performance which was created to mark Riviera’s 30 year history and was a spectacular show featuring some of the late musician’s hit songs and famous dance moves, including the Moonwalk.
Riviera’s director of brand and communications Stephen Milne said the VIP launch party was a huge success and everyone was impressed with the high calibre entertainment.
“It was a relaxed night where members and guests of the Riviera family could enjoy some high quality entertainment, great food, and good company as well as take a tour through the newest additions to Riviera’s award-winning and growing range,” Mr Milne said.
“The Michael Jackson performance from the bow of the striking 70 was a real hit with guests and a great way to celebrate Riviera’s history in the making with the launch of the 53 and 61. Dame Edna mingled with guests following her performance and kept everyone entertained throughout the evening.
“Everyone who stepped off the new 53 and 61 Series II commented on the design and the high quality of Riviera’s craftsmanship.
“Overall, it was a fantastic night and we are now looking forward to the Sydney International Boat Show in late July and the launch of our new 4400 Sport Yacht Series II.”
