Australia’s most successful cruising catamaran builder, Seawind, will be at the Sydney International Boat Show in July/August with the Sydney release of the new C37 trimaran.
Seawind Marketing Manager Brent Vaughan said the company was excited to bring the Corsair brand together with Seawind. “This will be a great opportunity for clients of both brands to see our offerings side by side,” he said.
Announcing the acquisition of Corsair Marine in late October, Seawind Managing Director Richard Ward said: “This is a marriage made in heaven. The two companies have products and manufacturing processes that strongly complement each other. For both Seawind and Corsair, it will signal new growth opportunities in both the manufacturing and sales areas.”
Seawind and Corsair will have a total of 4 boats at its on-water display including the new Seawind 1250, an 1160, the 1000XL and the new Corsair C37 trimaran.
The Corsair 37 is the most technologically advanced Corsair yet. Available in two versions – the full carbon Corsair C37RS and fiberglass Corsair C37CR, both feature shallow draft with retractable daggerboard & rudder, a carbon rotating wing mast and quality deck hardware. An intelligently designed deck layout sees halyards, topping lift, reefing and outhaul controlled at the mast. All other control lines go to the cockpit for ease of sail handling. The C37CR will be on display at the Sydney International Boat Show.
The interior combines functionality with creature comforts. A spacious and functional galley has a three-burner hob, sink and ample cabinet and storage space while the comfortable curved U-shape settee offers seating for six. Forward, the enclosed head features a moulded vanity with sink and shower attachment. In the bow, a spacious V-berth sleeps two adults in comfort while the aft cabin includes a double berth and the dining area in the main cabin converts to an additional bunk.
