Simrad Yachting today announced that its award-winning range of marine electronics have been installed on the first Riviera 75’ Enclosed Flybridge model.
The 75’ Enclosed Flybridge was unveiled at the inaugural Riviera Festival that was held on the Gold Coast recently and Riviera’s flagship model has been fully equipped with a range of premium Simrad Yachting products.
Mr John Scott, Chief Operating Officer of Navico Asia Pacific, said that the larger size of the cockpit and flybridge on the Riviera 75’ meant there were a variety of different system options available with the choice of electronics proving to be an important decision.
“The Simrad electronics package installed on this high-end luxury vessel offers the most comprehensive integration available on the market today. The 19-inch multifunction displays provide the owner with complete control of not only the award-winning Simrad Yachting chart, radar, sounder and autopilot components, but also provide full monitor and control of all on-board electrical systems through its integration with the C-Zone digital switching system. ”
The Riviera 75’ boasts an impressive suite of Simrad Yachting Electronics that deliver the ultimate performance for the experienced boater. The flybridge helm accommodates four 19” LED-backlight screens powered by the Simrad NSO Marine Processor along with a Simrad NSS12 multi-function display. The master suite also displays a touch screen Simrad NSS7.
Both the Simrad NSO and NSS screens are integrated with the awarding winning Simrad AP24 Autopilot, which is mounted on the outside upper deck, LSS-2 StructureScan™ and BSM-2 Broadband Sounder modules. The Simrad BSM-2 introduces fresh advances in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and frequency sweeping pulse compression (CHIRP) technology with the ability to penetrate water up to 3000m in depth. Finally, both a Simrad Broadband 4G™ Radar and a 6kW Open Array Simrad High Definition Digital Radar have been installed to provide outstanding dual radar navigation.
The complete Simrad electronics package was installed by R Electronics at their facility within the Riviera factory on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Errol Cain, Managing Director, said that the ability to control and command the electronics from a single system would improve the satisfaction and ultimately safety for boaters.
“Customers that wish to spend a lot of time on the water, either cruising or fishing, need a suite of electronics that is easy to operate and that they can trust in. The integrated package from Simrad delivers both these requirements so that boaters can enjoy their experience on the water with confidence. The Simrad & C-Zone system delivers the ultimate in performance, sophistication and control, yet retains a user interface that is simplistic and intuitive.”
The new Riviera 75’ will be the largest semi-production flybridge boat built in Australia. It can easily accommodate up to 12 people in four separate cabins each with their own ensuite. A luxury home on the water, the Riviera 75’ is built for long term cruising.
