SPECTACULAR FLIP NOT ENOUGH TO STOP CHAMP AND EVINRUDE E-TEC

After surviving a stunning head over tail crash, racing driver Greg Adams went on to win his division of the Australian F1 Superboat Series

Gold Coast, November, 2008 – Not even a spectacular head over tail crash could stop racing driver Greg Adams as he went on to win his division of the Australian F1 Superboat Series in Queensland. 
 
Held at the Gold Coast Marine Stadium, Adams, who races in the Stock Mono class, was lucky to walk away unscathed after the flip, let alone place second for the round and retain his lead in the 2008 series point score.  “I was chasing after the driver in the lead when a strong wind got under my boat, tossing it in the air where it flipped, spinning out of control”.

Powered by a stock Evinrude E-TEC 225HO, the Adams Sportsboat also avoided damage and was back again to race out the remaining heats. Amazingly, Adams went on to grab several podium finishes across the
weekend, a testament to his ability and the durability of the Evinrude E-TEC platform. “We had a really good series and a really reliable engine package. The Adams Sportsboat and Evinrude E-TEC combination, as well as the support from Wayne and Kim at Bay Boat Sales, has now helped us win three series in a row and we are proud to take home the 2008 Stock Mono Super Boat Championship” Adams said.
