Stabicraft Marine has released its all new 1650 Fisher model, a boat designed to be affordable, provide great performance and yet roomy enough for the whole family on the water.

After extensive market research, Stabicraft say the 1650 Fisher was put into production after they found there was a clear need for a well designed and laid out 16-17ft all-alloy fisher with all of the safety benefits that are inherent with Stabicraft.

In designing the all-new craft, the Stabicraft designers created a boat that not only performed well on the water, but also includes standard features and robust construction that appeals to fisherman and families alike.

“We wanted to create an exciting hull to drive with all the features fishermen want. The hull had to excel both in terms of ride and performance but like all Stabicrafts, it had to inspire confidence on the water,” says Tim van Duyl, Stabicraft Marine’s Marketing Co-ordinator.

Features like the centrally mounted bait station, high gunnels and easy water access over the Game Chaser Transom will appeal to dedicated and day fishermen.  With a few options added like the ski pole and extremely comfortable Ocean Bolster seats, the 1650 transforms to a capable family boat too.

“The 1650 Fisher has all the prowess of the recently released 1850 Supercab in that it has rear fold up seats, Game Chaser Transom™ & Arrow Pontoons™ plus it has fantastic functionality through the walkthrough screen, grab rail, rod holder and cup holder placement.”

Key features include the use of Stabicraft’s new styled Arrow Pontoons™. The Arrow Pontoons™ have been re-styled to give the 1650 Fisher an even softer and drier ride.

The design of the all-new 1650 Fisher is far more angular than other Stabicraft models, the key factor of this design being that the vessel is all aluminium – a significant change from the fibreglass cabins Stabicraft has previously fitted to their fisher range.

For’ard, a scratch resistant glass walk through windscreen makes access to the large anchor well easy and safe.

At the stern is Stabicrafts innovative Game Chaser Transom™, designed to make backing down faster, smoother and safer; it brings a new element to working prize catches as well as manoeuvring around marinas and enclosed waters.

Above the centrally mounted battery compartment is the standard bolt-on bait station complete with rod and cup holders as well as a large cutting surface, and for the serious fisher, this is where the optional 66L live bait tank is fitted.

On either side of the transom, fold up seats give somewhere to take a break after chasing fish or enjoying water sports while offering more deck space and great water access when raised.

Comfort has been a focus throughout the design with cup and rod holders where needed. Under the cuddy, optional squabs make for a comfortable refuge as well as more storage. Add an optional ski and tow pole and the 1650 transforms into a capable water sports boat.
