Australian component manufacturer Marine Tech Industries has embarked on an ambitious expansion program, with the company firmly setting course to take their range of quality pedestals to the international marine industry.
The first step in the process was to exhibit at the annual Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) staged at Amsterdam. METS is the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry.
With Marine Tech Industries exhibiting as a part of the Australian AIMEX display, company MD Brett Vorhauer returned to Australia buoyant about the outcome of the show.
“As a first time exhibitor we came away delighted with our result,” Brett said.
“While we are naturally wiser for the experience and will return in 2011 for a more effective display, the outcome for this year has been most gratifying.”
As a direct result of exhibiting at METS, Marine Tech Industries has established and appointed a distributor in Europe, Penguin Engineering Ltd. As a direct result of this new commercial association, Marine Tech Industries pedestals will be on show at the famed London International Boat Show in January.
In addition to the distribution agreement for Europe, Brett Vorhauer fielded many trade enquiries from boat builders from all over the world.
“METS showed us that we have a world class product that has relevance to boat builders and repairers all over the world. We already supply some very prominent ship builders and we are looking to grow our customer base.”
Over the coming year, Marine Tech Industries is set to embark on an extensive marketing campaign that will take in nine boat shows, three in Australian and six internationally.
Marine Tech Industries is an Australian based company that designs and manufactures a complete range of high quality aluminium and stainless steel pedestals for the international marine industry.
