The all new Fairway 42 project is pushing ahead at great speed now. Stewart Smith from United Motor Yachts has spent the past few months working alongside the naval architect, draftsman and builder to complete the design of the New Fairway 42 Cruiser. This new vessel will share much of its smaller sisters acclaimed attributes such as economical running, coastal cruising ability and comfortable accommodation but the new 42 well also offer so much more.

The New model will be 6 feet longer and 2 feet wider that the Fairway 36 and the extra beam will allow for walk around side decks and side door at the helm. Forward there will be an island bed master cabin with a queen sized double bed and plenty of hanging space. To port will be a guest cabin with twin singles which will convert to a double if preferred. To starboard will be a large bathroom with separate shower, vanity and head. The saloon will have large dinette and settee as well as full galley which will all flow out to a large rear deck and extended swim platform. The hardtop will extend over the cockpit and offer dinghy storage above or extra flybridge space and the flybridge will be larger than usually found on a boat of this size. The standard power will come from a single diesel engine of around 315/330 HP which will deliver 16.17 Knots and cruising at up to 15 Knots. Upgrade engine packages will be available including twin engine installations. The new 42 like her smaller sister will be extremely economical to run and offer great range and sea going ability.
