The Haines Group goes West

One of Australia’s leading marine family businesses, The Haines Group has appointed a new regional manager to support their growing national dealer network.

 
Perth-based Darren Vickers will oversee the company’s operations in Western and South Australia; for Suzuki Marine and The Haines Group boating brands Signature, Haines Traveler, Seafarer, Nautiques, Ensign and Walker Bay.

Originally from South Australia, Darren has lived in Perth and more recently Brisbane, where he worked as a Leading Territory Manager.  

In his former role, Darren supported a strong network of clients through phone contact and regular visits to their places of business.

Darren said he took on the new tenure as regional manager with The Haines Group because he was looking for a career change in a new and challenging industry.

“The marine industry in the Southern and Western states is in an unmatched state of growth.

“In response to this The Haines Group recently purpose built a warehousing facility and office in Perth to meet increased demand for both the Suzuki motors and Haines Group boat brands,” Darren said.

Darren starts working with The Haines Group at the end of April, during which he will undertake intensive training and product familiarisation before relocating to Perth mid-May.
