Lagoon, the leading name in catamaran manufacturing, is thrilled to unveil its latest innovation: the Lagoon 43. This new model represents a significant leap in naval design and customer-centric innovation, born from a collaboration with renowned architects and designers.

John Cowpe, Managing Director at TMG Yachts, expressed his enthusiasm for the Lagoon 43, stating, “The Lagoon 42 made waves when it was launched 8 years ago, becoming the best-selling catamaran globally with over 1000 units sold. With the Lagoon 43, we’ve taken a giant step forward, reinforcing Lagoon’s position as the industry leader.” He added, “Our success is due to our exceptional partners—leading naval architects, a large in-house design team, a broad dealer network, and importantly, a dedicated community of experienced owners who provide invaluable feedback.”

Key Features of the Lagoon 43

In an exclusive interview, Quentin Beraut, Lagoon’s product manager, highlighted three standout features of the Lagoon 43:

  1. Ease of Movement: The Lagoon 43 boasts an innovative design that enhances mobility. Notable features include side access doors for seamless dock access and a recessed saloon door that blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces.
  2. Adaptability: The new model includes a convertible in-and-out table solution, allowing customization of the onboard layout. A new lounging area with multifunctional backrests offers panoramic views of the cockpit or the sea, providing unparalleled comfort.
  3. Generous Spaces: The redesigned hull increases internal cabin space four-fold, resulting in larger berths and expansive living areas. The master berth has been repositioned forward, and the bathroom moved aft, ensuring quieter rest and improved separation of shower and head. Additionally, the forward mast placement enhances saloon volume and maneuverability.

The Lagoon 43 also introduces a semi-fly space on the coachroof, enhancing the overall onboard experience. Cowpe anticipates high interest in this feature, especially for couples and families seeking adventure and comfort. “The semi-fly and forward lounging areas are bound to be popular. We’re excited to demonstrate how the interior and exterior spaces connect and how this benefits our clients,” he said.

Exclusive Preview and Sea Trials

The first Lagoon 43 will make its debut in the Mediterranean in mid-2024. TMG Yachts will host exclusive VIP viewings and sea trials in Spain in late June, providing a unique opportunity to experience the vessel before its public unveiling at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The Lagoon 43 will arrive in Australia in 2025, and TMG Yachts encourages interested parties to take advantage of this rare opportunity. Cowpe remarked, “We’re eager to showcase the Lagoon 43 during the sea trials in Spain. The response has been fantastic, with several confirmed orders already. It feels like the excitement we saw with the launch of the Lagoon 42.”

For those looking to experience this groundbreaking catamaran, this summer’s trials in Spain will offer an exclusive glimpse into Lagoon’s latest masterpiece.
