The new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42 Deck Saloon in Australasia.

The very first 2 cabin version of the 2011 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42 Deck Saloon is on show this Saturday 23rd October in Sydney.

With a sleek new look the coach roof windows extend further aft and the hull now boasts six windows bringing even more natural light into the interior. For the serious sailor there is also the option of a German mainsheet system which brings the mainsheet back to windward at either wheel for easy adjustment.

Designed to be easily sailed by a couple, this is also a yacht to be enjoyed by the entire family. The short-overlap jibs make for ease of tacking and aid visibility on crowded waterways, while the twin-wheel cockpit ensures the helmsperson has a great line of vision when sailing or docking. The layout also allows easy access to the swim platform.

The large coach roof windows bring the outside in, making the enormous saloon bright and ideal for entertaining. The island queen size double bed in the aft master cabin version makes this an exceedingly comfortable cruising yacht to spend extended time on board.

Like all Jeanneau yachts the 42DS is designed as a true offshore yacht capable of ocean passages. These proven yachts have built a reputation for their substantial structure which exceeds other volume manufacturers giving those on board peace of mind. When the weather and seas become adverse, the easily driven hull designed by renowned naval architect Marc Lombard, will get you home quickly and safely.

Built in Jeanneau’s ISO approved facility in France (the only volume yacht manufacturer to meet the International Quality Assurance standards), the 42DS features the upmarket finishes for which the brand has become known.
